We’re obsessed with stories about late nights, the magic that happens in rehearsal rooms, and afterparties so iconic you had to be there to believe it — the inspiration behind the genius, if you will. Guests like Amanda Steele, my longtime friend and entrepreneur; Tasman Richardson, Toronto-based multidisciplinary media artist; Kristopher Roe, frontman for The Ataris; Sal Ellington, singer and guitarist for Rebuilder and host of The Biz; and Miss Guy, legendary songwriter and solo artist, lead singer of The Toilet Boys and hailed by Spin’s Marc Spitz as “a pioneer in the DJ world,” have all pulled up a chair, shared their truths, and reminded us that creativity thrives in the unfiltered, the unexpected, and the slightly messy.
